Gameplay

The game is divided into five rounds and a debriefing session. The action takes place at each household’s kitchen table, over copious cups of tea.

In the first four rounds, players receive sources of information that will increase their understanding of the current situation and enable them to make the final decision as to where to take shelter.

Players discuss the information that they have in each round in their households and with community members. In Rounds 2 and 3, household and community members rotate and share information with other groups.

Everyone must evaluate all the information that they have to determine if it is authoritative, current, and unbiased. This evaluation is critical to the decision that is made at the end of the last round. The game takes approximately 2.5 hours to play.

In the fifth round, players learn the fate of their household: live or die?
